Ontwerpster Anne Claire Petit wilde iets speciaals doen met haar collectie gehaakte dieren voor de Maison et Object te Parijs. Wij bedachten een nieuw soort Bimbo box (soort jukebox met bewgende aapjes) waarin haar gehaakte beesten de hoofdrol kregen in een muzikaal spektakel met Peppers ghost animatie. De Bimbo box was een groot succes op de beurs en gaat nog steeds “op tournee” naar diverse tradefairs en flagship stores over de wereld.
Designer Anne Claire Petit wanted to do something special for the Maison et Object with her collection. We decided to upscale traditional Bimbo boxes (a kind of animated Jukebox) to a new level with an animation of the crochet animals. “ When watching the crochet animals come to live as they perform their ska and ragtime tunes, one feels like an Alice in Wonderland, stepping into an illusionary world of cuteness” . The bimbo box, or magic music box is still traveling to trade fairs and flagg ship stores across the world.
Dutch Iglo uses a unique technology to create the animation film that is set in a traditional bimbobox with old magical illusions.
